Film: Documentary This American Life: Live!

Drowning armadillos, bumbling detectives, and disgruntled Santa's-little-helpers were among the hundreds of bizarre, funny, and heartbreaking subjects that made This American Life Chicago's darling — but last year, the popular public radio show ditched the Windy City for the Big Apple to produce a television version for Showtime. The six-episode series wound up garnering three Emmy nominations, and tonight host Ira Glass and company beam a live show via satellite to select movie theaters nationwide. The program features stories and outtakes from the upcoming second season, a radio segment, an audience Q&A with Glass, and special guests.
