If Bill Cosby is the Jell-O-eating granddad of African-American comedians, then John Witherspoon is the crazy, bow-tied uncle, a politically incorrect loudmouth who's constantly bragging about his sexual prowess and unlikely misadventures. He's made his mark on popular culture through roles like "Pops" in Friday and as "Granddad" on the animated version of the popular comic strip The Boondocks, but his exploits began decades ago on the standup circuit. Tonight, Witherspoon gets back to his raunchy roots.
