Most folks are more concerned with the plunging necklines at the Academy Awards than they are with the films in the Best Documentary category, but this year's winner is definitely worthy of more attention. Taxi to the Dark Side examines the horrifying story of a young Afghan taxi driver who was tortured and beaten to death by American soldiers while imprisoned at the infamous Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. The film takes a steely look at America's stance on torture by interviewing both its supporters and detractors.
