Music El Chino DreadLion

Before his solo train was chugging full-steam, El Chino DreadLion was a rapper and vocalist for New York's critically lauded Latin-funk band Yerba Buena. After departing from that outfit, he served with Miami's Suenalo before organizing a lineup of the city's best percussionists, guitarists, and horn men to play his own tunes — a blend of hip-hop, roots reggae, Afrobeat, and various Latin styles. But the music never quite overpowers El Chino; onstage, the ferocious frontman's rhymes, chants, and acrobatic dances keep all eyes and ears on him.
