Over the years, the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami has built an impressive collection of adventurous new art, by gathering works based on united themes and concepts, as opposed to when or how they were created. This meticulous approach is celebrated in the museum's Pivot Points I: Defining MOCA's Collection. Tonight, that approach — as well as similar methods used by museums around the world — is examined in depth by Vicente Todoli, director of the famed Tate Modern, London's museum of British and international modern and contemporary art. It almost goes without saying: the man has perspective.
