There is, of late, a point in a band's lifetime where the hapless emotional wrecks feel that their only choice is to play über-gigs. The Rolling Stones did it (and still are). Status Quo have done it numerous times. Suffice to say, however, that it would be rather odd to see Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood rising out of the stage on proud steeds surrounded by cowering dwarves. With this concert as the launch of the band's much-anticipated US tour, and self-released album In Rainbows busting to be played live, expect far fewer frills while basking in the Oxford exports' melancholic angst.
