Music: Rock/Pop Araka

After an absence of a few months, Araka return to the weekly grind at Jazid, hosting the venue's Tuesday-night jam session. The sound isn't terribly challenging — a fairly standard mishmash of rock, with a bit of reggae thrown in here and there — but the band's sheer abandon and drive transforms its sometimes-meandering musical maelstrom into something more. Plus, you never know who's going to sit in. Basically, it's the perfect band to booze to on a slow South Beach evening.
