Most Miami kids would rather suffer a long, slow death than get down to the tropical beats of their aging abuelitas. Only a few turntable natives have the chops to make traditional Latin music cool again, and DJ Pauer — already a Downtown favorite, thanks to a weekly gig at gourmet dinner spot Bin 18 — is among them. Pop into PS14 tonight to catch a little bit of lounge, a little bit of electro, and a lot of first-generation Miamians ditching their usual nonchalance to give in to their inherited sense of rhythm.
