Maxi Priest is reggae's Casanova, a dreadlocked Lothario who has enchanted listeners with nothing more than his raspy, British-Jamaican croon. It's been over two decades since he first burst onto the scene with his cover of Cat Stevens' "Wild World," and in the time since, he's whipped up several hits of his own — to say nothing of his monster collaborations with fellow bigshots Shaggy and Roberta Flack. Sure, some staunch reggae purists might frown on his pop angle, but the man's track record is nothing to be scoffed at. Priest is probably stealing their ladies while they're off pouting, anyway.
