Flannel-driven slackertude attempts a comeback as grunge-metal mainstays Mudhoney hit the stage alongside the pysch-rockers of Birds of Avalon. Signed to Sub Pop in the label's late-80's/early-'90s heyday, Mudhoney paved the way for the Seattle explosion with heavy riffage and unrelenting angst. The band recently reissued its definitive 1988 debut, Superfuzz Bigmuff, so expect some deep cuts alongside the obligatory "new stuff."
