Music: Jazz/Blues Larry Coryell Quartet
-
- Larry Coryell
Jazz-rock guitarist Larry Coryell burns down the Miniaci Center tonight with his quartet of Pat Metheny Group vets, including Paul Wertico on drums, Mark Egan on bass, and South Florida fave Silvano Monasterios on piano. In the mid-'60s, Coryell was an acclaimed session man in New York when visionary vibraphonist Gary Burton added him to his band and helped launch a storied career. Coryell went on to become a founding member of the Eleventh House and a major force in the evolution of the jazz-fusion sound. This concert is a warm-up before the guitarist heads to Seattle for a six-night stand with the great Mose Allison.
