Performing Arts: Comedy Neil Hamburger

Neil Hamburger (aka Gregg Turkington) is quite possibly the worst comedian to sweat it out beneath the spotlight — that's his schtick. With his silver-screen baritone and flat one-liners, the disheveled funnyman made an art out of dodging projectile party garbage while opening for faux band Tenacious D around the world. Hopefully the Loop crowd takes pity on him when he climbs onto the small stage tonight in his threadbare tux, with the obligatory three sloshing drinks tucked beneath his elbow. Then again, heckling is half the fun — why deny the man his due?
