Film Beach Blanket Bingo (1965)

Forget enjoying carefree fun in the sun and focus on the plot of what is perhaps the most convoluted beach movie ever. A dame named Sugar Kane (Linda Evans) is kidnapped by a cat named South Dakota Slim (Timothy Carey) while Frankie (Avalon, natch) falls for Bonnie (Deborah Whalley of Gidget Goes Hawaiian) — despite the fact that Dee Dee (Annette Funicello) is learning to skydive so she can win Frankie back. We're pretty sure that almost every character ends up skydiving at some point. If that's not enough, a dolt known as Bonehead (Jody McCrea) flips over a mermaid (Marta Kristen) who you may recognize as one of the daughters from Lost in Space.
