Mixing classic hip-hop bravura with futuristic electro freakiness (and dashes of sly social commentary), Junc Ops is responsible for one of the freshest sounds to come out of Miami in a hot minute. In this outfit, forward-thinking producer Kentsoundz provides the glitchy, boom-heavy, intergalactic beats, over which rapper PG-13 — a prolifically dope producer in his own right — lays out heated missives on Miami, our endangered environment, and loves long gone. Earlier this year, the group's debut album, 2013, made it all the way up to number three on the CMJ hip-hop charts. Hopefully, that's just a hint of bigger things to come.
