You may not be familiar with writer Harlan Ellison, but you've probably seen or heard some of his work. Ellison penned Star Trek's most famous episode, "City on the Edge of Forever," as well as one of The Outer Limits' finest chapters, "Demon with a Glass Hand" — not to mention hundreds of novels, novellas, and stories, in a style that he calls "speculative fiction." Erik Nelson, the writer, director, and producer who had his paws on Werner Herzog's Grizzly Man, combines original footage, sourced clips, and interviews with the likes of Robin Williams and Neil Gaiman to come up with a resounding testament to one of science fiction's most underappreciated raconteurs.
