Music: DJ Poplife 9th Anniversary feat. Free Blood

Free Blood's John Pugh (formerly of !!!) says that his electronic duo is a marriage of Brooklyn's grit and Manhattan's money — which sounds a little like White Room's slum-to-chic mentality. Tonight, the venue hosts Free Blood in celebration of Poplife's nine-year anniversary, which makes for nearly a decade of angular haircuts, retro fashion, and extreme personalities. Poplife is the cradle of cool when it comes to Miami's downtown scene, so there are quite a few for whom this is the party of the year. DJs Matt Cash, Aramis, and Induce watch over the proceedings from their turntable perch and keep the bodies moving between live sets.
