Music: Rock/Pop Zappa Plays Zappa

Just about everyone has heard of the late musician and composer Frank Zappa, but as the years go by, fewer seem to know just what the heck he did. That's a shame, because from the '60s to the '90s, Zappa was responsible for some of the most confounding and brilliant avant-garde rock 'n roll around. His eldest son, Dweezil — an accomplished, out-there musician in his own right — keeps his father's legend alive with Zappa Plays Zappa, a loose coalition of musicians who tour the world playing the music of Dweezil's progressive papa. For the curious, tonight's concert is Zappa 101.
