More Flavor: Competition MoCA presents Battle of the Bands

With the assistance of indie hangspot Sweat Records, the Museum of Contemporary Art hosts an old-school musical throwdown. Tonight, five eager local bands, including Latin-rock hometown heroes Minimal and crunchy punk outfit the Hongs, take the stage to perform their best 20-minute sets. The group that impresses the judges the most wins a new Epiphone guitar, free rehearsal time at JamRock studios, and the opportunity to sell its merch at the MoCA gift shop. Filling out the bill are Old Wives Tale, Psycho Daisies, and Treasures.
