Sunday July 27, 2008 (2pm)
Join Miami-based Jim Drain in the latest installment of MoCA's pioneering artist-workshop series. An internationally acclaimed artist whose work is currently on view in MoCA's Sympathy for the Devil exhibition, Drain emerged from Providence, Rhode Island's sadly defunct Fort Thunder art space in the late 1990s with his DayGlo-colored, vaguely talismanic sculptures and installations. On Sunday afternoon, Drain and curator Ruba Katrib screen and discuss several short films that illustrate the complex relationship between experimental music and contemporary art.
