To some, New York Dolls frontman David Johansen is a living testament to the fashion, music, and Bowery-bad vibes that influenced three generations of rock 'n rollers, well beyond his band's original mid-'70s breakup. Last month, the Dolls released the favorably reviewed Cause I Sez So — a throwback considering the presence of old-time producer Todd Rundgren, but also a step forward, as it's the second release from this lineup, featuring all new members except for Johansen and guitarist Syl Sylvain. Tonight, the now comfortably reunited Dolls swoop down into South Florida in all their lip-lined, glam-rock glory.
