“Sometimes you fall upon beauty so sublime and perfected that only nature could have produced it. Such is the case with the South Florida Zoanthus, a genus of soft-bodied colonial organisms most closely related to corals and sea anemones, with seemingly limitless combinations of fluorescent color forms. And were it not for the assiduous work of Miami-based Colin Foord and Jared McKay at Morphologic Studios, a state-certified aquaculture facility, most of us wouldn't be able to admire this local natural splendor. Today's your last chance to catch Foord's stunning photographs, taken using super-macro lenses and specialized filters to effectively highlight these living colors. Don't miss it.”
An exhibition of flourescence photography documenting Zoanthids of Florida's coral reefs. By underwater photographer Colin Foord.
