“Astro Coast, the 2010 full-length debut from young indie rock outfit Surfer Blood, remains a promising blast of expressive guitar and vocal hooks. Originally from West Palm Beach, the band released an EP, Tarot Classics, in 2011, and this year they've been in the studio working with producer Phil Ek (who's collaborated with the Shins, Fleet Foxes, and Built to Spill) on their sophomore album.
