In a neighborhood plagued by bro bars and tourist traps (hello, TGI Fridays!), Revival is the perfect alternative. It's not that the drinks are super cheap or the ambience that great, but the place is... genuine. The back patio is perfect for garrulous smokers, the upstairs lounge has couches for dedicated drinkers, and the bartenders offer stiff pours and friendly chats. It's also a good spot for pre-gaming before a show at Irving Plaza, where the drinks are guaranteed to be at least twice as expensive.
