Most people head to the Bohemian Beer Garden when they want to do some outdoor drinking in Astoria. We're making a case for Studio Square, however, as the slightly more upmarket (if a beer garden can be upmarket) option in the area. The beer selection is almost as vast as the space itself, the bathrooms are maybe the cleanest in Queens, and if you're looking for a spot to catch a game, they set up a huge projector screen in the yard, and have TVs indoors. The food is decent too — but we wonder who orders sushi at a beer garden? Come with cash, as this place doesn't accept credit cards.
