Tim Delaughter's massive indie ensemble, the Polyphonic Spree, may have moved from the non-denominational church to the front lines (trading in their trademark robes for military-style garb), but the group's mission remains the same: using upbeat pseudo-psych to spread giddy giggles everywhere they go. The 20-plus-member indie orchestra continues its ecstatic pursuit tonight with a cavalcade of horns, psychedelic riffs, and body-rocking feel-good vibes. Kicking off the love-in, Cali poppers Rooney offer tight radio-style rock, while the Redwalls issue the kind of acid vibes that inspired old-school deep-psych listeners to go on a serious spirit quest.
