Museum of the Moving Image says…

Robin Hood's green hat, Scarlet O'Hara's crimson lips, and Dorothy's rainbow — trademark images of '30s and '40s film — were all made possible by the advent of three-color Technicolor, glorious Technicolor. To celebrate the acquisition of a rare three-strip Technicolor camera, the Museum of the Moving Image is screening a dozen films whose richly saturated palettes were created using the groundbreaking process. The camera's unveiling on November 17 kicks off three weekends of Technicolor classics, such as The Adventures of Robin Hood, Gone with the Wind, and the more modern Apocalypse Now Redux — an example of contemporary colorization technology.
