Café Tacuba have been rocking en Español since a group of graphic-design students got together to jam in Mexico City in 1989, but most of their US acclaim (and their 2004 Grammy, for what it's worth) began after their opening slot for Beck on his Midnight Vultures tour. An ardent Anglo following sprouted, and three albums and several soundtrack contributions later the quartet is still churning out creative, rocking updates on everything from Mexican folk music and metal to hip-hop and electronica. Tonight, don't worry if you don't know the lingo — headbanging is a universal language.
