Formerly of the synthy post-punk band Six Finger Satellite, Juan Maclean (né John) has since become one of the backbone artists for New York's DFA Records. His productions draw upon the oddball robotics of Kraftwerk, pinched-nerve funk, the history of disco, and beyond — his DJ set tonight should be much the same, shimmying around the Moog and the cowbell with equal dexerity. JDH & Dave P, two music obsessives who've undeniably influenced the recent state of New York dance floors, crank out electro and techno in support.
