Perhaps pigs can't fly, but humans sure can — or at least those in Elizabeth Streb's antigravitational dance company, STREB. Twice a year, STREB opens the doors of its warehouse/rehearsal studio, creating a carnivalesque performance space, complete with popcorn and rowdy kids. View crazy-fun performance numbers filled with death-defying moments (thrill-seekers can choose to sit on the front-row floor mats). STREB is a far cry from City Ballet; its beauty is not in the details, but in the timing — the wild patterns created by jumping off trampolines in succession or swinging all over a human-size hamster wheel.
