The heartbroken masses gather tonight for a dose of tear-stained synth pop. Having recently expanded his signature electronic sound to include organs, strings, flutes, and pedal-steel guitars, Casiotone may not be so painfully alone these days, but he still echoes a bevy of emotions within reverberating tales of melancholic romance. Meanwhile, Brooklyn DIY psychniks High Places (aka Mary Pearson and Robert Barber) strike a blissed-out chord somewhere leftfield of the Blow, incorporating Pearson's sweetly hushed vocals over ambient wanderings and poppy beats.
