Performing Arts: Dance Molissa Fenley and Dancers

Modern-dance master Molissa Fenley celebrates the 30th anniversary of her company at the Joyce Theater with six nights of old favorites and new classics. On the bill is the world premiere of Calculus and Politics, an imaginative romp with seven dancers and several stuffed swans moving through space. Alternating programs also revive the Bessie award-winning State of Darkness and the haunting duet Provenance Unknown. Fenley and her capable dancers are joined by guest soloists Jonathan Porretta (Dec 13 and 14) and Rachel Foster (Dec 16), both from the Pacific Northwest Ballet.
