Music: Rock/Pop Rainbowsssss w/ the Kulaks and Orgiaztec

Although they basically abandon melody, rhythm, and structure, Rainbowsssss generate haunting and engaging sonic performances. Usually huddled on the floor, the trio improvises with an array of pedals, samplers, guitars, and keyboards. The group is more meticulous than most other Brooklyn noise bands, and carefully builds euphonious layers of sound. Openers the Kulaks craft similarly intelligent, psychedelic soundscapes, using fuzzed-out samples from techno tracks, improvised guitar melodies, eerie chants, and a mix of digital and analog devices.
