The phrase "office holiday party" inevitably conjures up cringe-worthy interchanges with awkward co-workers, forced smiles, and drunken — if not embarrassing and employment-threatening — confessions. Luckily, New York magazine promises tonight to be anything but your staid-to-sloshed office shindig. Heavy drinking is still encouraged (punch is promised), but for the penultimate party in its NYXNY series, the mag has enlisted the left-field sketch masters in the Upright Citizens Brigade and tenacious indie nerds We Are Scientists to alternately ridicule and rock the non-traditional office fete. Just try not to make out with the "interns."
