Monkey Town Porn Week

Presenting a loftier take on the skin flick genre for the fourth year running, Monkey Town celebrates pornographers working in the "legitimate" arts. Joe Gallant performs with a live band during the screening of his "dystopian smut" Avenue X, and Porno Jim presents a visual history of the industry, followed by his dirty date flick Hooking Up. You can even get a tutorial from Brooklyn sexologist Jamye Waxman on moves for your next porn performance. For this year's event, Korean film Mago (2002) provides inspiration for a musical remix — 50 musicians improvise on the existing soundtrack to retell the tale through a revised score.
