Dogs is the story of Brad and Davy, brothers living in a failing fish-cannery town in Alaska who, along with new-gal-in-town Viv, attempt to transcend their endlessly depressing lives. The brothers train attack dogs in order to use the money and (what else?) move to Los Angeles and get into film and TV. But Brad and Davy's is a heartbreakingly modest dream — they just want to be extras — and therein lie the story's sad truths. New-to-the-scene playwright Norman Lasca makes his talents clear, and the show's creative team rises to the play's challenge.
