Brooklyn-born powerhouse Parts & Labor reinvigorate punk's four-to-the-floor ethos with brazen, unabashed indie energy. Seemingly malfunctioning machines pulse with erratic undercurrents as buzz-saw guitar laces in and out of speedy hardcore beats. Singer B.J. Warshaw, meanwhile, stands like a proud peacock, confidently spitting his call to arms into a sea of pumping fists. But fear not, boot-deficient brothers and sisters: while a range of pop-punkers inform the band's base, comparisons to electro oddities like Lightning Bolt and Brainiac are equally apt. As a result, these boys hold up just as well at an indie party as they do in the pit.
