Is that a bonfire in your solar plexus or just the burning desire for a good post-hardcore pummeling? Whatever it is, best grab your vitals and hang on for dear life, because indie spastics Les Savy Fav are here to light up a frenzied flambé of art-school pop. The band's Fugazi-gone-giddy tunes are shored up by the infamous antics of husky, tummy-bearing frontman Tim Harrington, who has been known to demand audience karaoke and steal equipment from the stage. (Or just abandon the stage entirely and commandeer vehicles parked nearby, as he did during this summer's CitySol show.) It's a maniacal, yet inspirational, way to ring in 2008.
