Performing Arts: Cabaret/Burlesque Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad

Proudly putting the "whore back in hora," the Goddess Perlman leads her tribe of chosen ladies in a performance featuring bawdy bat-mitzvah recollections, Star of David pasties, and other hilarious deconstructions of the "Jewess" image. The lineup includes pieces by a few of comedy's most acidic semites, from Mindy Raf's folk songs about bad sex and forbidden love (with unemployed Catholic boys, no less) to Vanessa Hidary's definition of a "Hebrew Mamita." The Goddess herself MCs the night, singing the praises of self-love (the battery-powered kind), J-dates, and Yiddisher dilemmas.
