Designed specifically to be performed in the Whitney's Lower Gallery, Moving Theater's Impermanent Collection dance piece addresses the pleasures and frustrations of looking at art. As the performers interact with videos of themselves dancing, the ICE (International Contemporary Ensemble) provides a live score; the dancers incorporate all elements of their surroundings, from the musicians to the architectural container of the museum itself, interweaving the tangible and the intangible.
