Just in time for its Fifth Annual Serve-a-Thon, the New York City Coalition Against Hunger has launched an easy-to-use volunteer matching system that finds soup kitchens and food pantries that need your donated time. Select what you can do, when you can do it, and which trains are closest to you, and the site will list places to pitch in. To further increase awareness for the 1,200 organizations served by the NYCCAH, ask friends and family who can't find the time to pledge some dough to the 1.3 million New Yorkers who rely on these agencies for help.
