With his world-class beatboxing and sampling skills, Adam Matta is a master of repurposing the music of the city. Tonight's show includes "Underground," a blues-trance tribute to New York's streets, as well as Lower East Side ode "Mareo," which is accompanied by video art. Musicians Julianne Carney, Briggan Krauss, and James Ilgenfritz (on violin, bass, and saxophone, respectively) chime in with solo compositions, lending an air of tradition to this performance by the maestro of the Bowery.
