In this tale of love, God, and the sex lives of polar bears, writer Jeff Daniels (yes, that Jeff Daniels) brings us into the crumbling life of public-TV fundraiser Annie Wilson. Running from a failed relationship, she is thrown into a friendship with an insistent neighbor, whose sunny views on love force her to reconsider her own emotional potentials. Later, in an on-air meltdown during her station's pledge drive, she manages to bring the fate of Big Bird into question and the affections of a coworker into focus. It's through tender and comical conversations that 3A successfully examines what it means to care too much and what qualifies as miracle.
