Their sugar-coated-crass "Homecoming" single and its accompanying video (shot in a '70s-era style reminiscent of The Virgin Suicides) made quite a splash in the blogosphere last year. Now, the dirty-pop scoundrels are back to solidify their American market presence with a US tour in support of their stateside debut release, Reality Check. Local openers Bear Hands temper the Frenchies' cheek with their soulful, guitar-driven indie rock. Slow-burners reach anthemic heights, and their tunes are no less addictive.
