After last year's wildly succesful (if wildly disorganized) Indie Rock Karaoke — starring everyone's favorite cross-dressing melodramatists, Of Montreal — NYXNY tightened up its act and enlisted snarling punk chargers the Thermals and homegrown comedy dudes the Whitest Kids U' Know to reprise the night. Expect some sort of free booze and a fast-and-furious set from the Thermals. The Kids will host the signature karaoke contest, while the Thermals take up house-band duties for all the wannabe frontmen (and women) in the crowd — likely to include an A-list name or two.
