Highlights include Jar City, a complex murder mystery dealing with the power of information and knowledge of one's past — directed by Baltasar Kormákur, fan actor and darling of the Icelandic screen; and the darkly comic and fable-like Gone with the Woman, which focuses on the differences between the sexes, after its laconic protagonist finds himself in a relationship he neither pursued nor wanted.
