McNally Robinson Booksellers says…

Besides the suggestion that al-Qaeda harbors a special animosity for Williamsburg twentysomethings, the opening scene of Anthony Lappe and Dan Goldman's graphic novel, Shooting War, is plausible enough. A smartly dressed man walks down Brooklyn's Grand Street with a video camera, blogging about the excesses of corporate culture. Life is hard. But in the seventh frame, Jimmy Burns captures an explosion on tape, and the recording launches his career as the first in a new generation of grassroots investigative journalists. From there, it's just a few quick steps to Baghdad, where war still rages in 2011. As Dan Rather blathers on in the background, both the insurgency and coalition soldiers vie for Burns' favor. Originally a web comic, Shooting War has since been picked up by Grand Central Publishing and is currently available in hardback.
