Apex Art blurs the boundary between art and advertising in The (Self) Promotion Show. The 19 publicly submitted commercials on view are presented in an installation resembling an archetypal living room. Each contributor was asked to create a 30-second ad featuring the gallery, and the raw, occasionally amateurish results are reminiscent of those times when you've enjoyed a commercial more than the program it interrupts. In the spirit of the times, you can vote for a winner online, and in true couch-potato style, you don't even have to leave your living room to watch them.
