More Flavor: Food/Wine 2008 Vendy Awards

New York has such mind-blowingly good (not to mention exotic) food available right on the street, it's a wonder that any of us ever sets foot in a proper restaurant. Today's event pays homage to the men and women who stand on our corners rain or shine and make NYC that much easier and delicious to live in by serving tacos, crepes, kebabs, wafels, pupusas, falafel, jerk chicken, dosas, and a million other tasty things. Aside from the awards ceremony, there's a cook-off, live music, booze, and plenty of food from the nominated carts. Tickets are tax-deductible and proceeds benefit the Street Vendor Project.
