Music: Hip-Hop Roc C and IMAKEMADBEATS

IMAKEMADBEATS and Roc C got together a few months ago to start working on upcoming album Transcontinental, but neither is new to the game. According to his MySpace page, IMAKEMADBEATS grew up with record sleeves for place mats and a metronome to help him sleep, so it's not surprising that the Brooklyn producer's credits include collaborations with underground faves such as Black Milk, Wordsworth, and J-Live. Roc C, on the other hand, made his mic debut with the late great Dilla and has since thrown down tracks with Bizzy Bone and Aloe Blacc. Tonight, the new duo offers the crowd a rare hip-hop sound — one without specific origin but with universal appeal.
