Ohio Theatre says…

This dance/clown/theatre ensemble has received lots of awards since forming in 1995, but you can't attribute its success to any one member: Pig Iron tours, teaches, and trains together — the players even share artistic directorship. With Chekhov Lizardbrain, the company applies its comic chops to the mournful stories of Anton Chekhov. Brothers Peter, Nicholas, and Sascha are selling their home in Oswego, New York, to childhood friend Dmetri, but this is no walk in the cherry orchard. The creepy titular narrator uses his four acts to peel back the layers of the mind, and when these long-underwear-clad men remove their brains and squawk like birds, you know the procedure is working.
